To achieve its mission and vision of providing holistic development of students, the college encourages all pupils to actively participate in frequently organized extra curricular activities like debate competition, singing and dance programs, slogan writing competition, rangoli competition, sports tournaments etc. The college hosts these events and competitions regularly on various occasions.
JDS distinguishes itself as the only college in the region to support and provide a platform for all such activities as mentioned below:
Activities:
- JDS has collaborated with UP government for promoting Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) in rural India. Through this initiative, JDS organizes employment generating courses like Retail management, beautician, electrician etc. in its campus.
- JDS provides free of cost facilitation for amenities like soft skill, computer education, personality development, career counselling and UPSDM courses like Retail management, Beautician etc. 3 batches of these UPSDM courses have been completed with good results.
- NSS: The College also regularly organises NSS activities for students to instil in them a sense of duty & social responsibility.
- A 7-day Residential Camp was organised in Feb’19 in JDS campus to encourage our youth to participate in various community service activities & programmes and to provide them hands-on experience in delivering community service.
- This year the various themes of the NSS camp included: ‘Swastha Bharat’, ‘ Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao’, ‘Surakshit Bharat’.
- Chief Guests on different days included: CMO District Hospital Bareilly, SHO Bhuta-Bareilly etc.
- MSME workshop for Small Scale Industries & Agricultural Development is organised every year
- ‘Matdaan Diwas’ was celebrated by JDS students on 25th January’19 to spread awareness on voting and general elections in 2019
- JDS students actively participated in ‘Pariksha pe Charcha 2.0’ program of hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on 29th January’19 where he spoke to students and addressed them for their exam and education related issues
- JDS provides free Career Counseling to students by industry experts
- Guest Lectures by professionals on subjects like Home Science, English & Arithmetic
- Focused preparation and guidance for competitions
- Special classes for English Speaking & Communication
- Workshops by renowned guest faculties from industry on various subjects like rural and small scale industries, health, banking etc.
- We at JDS together celebrate all festivals alike whether National festivals or cultural events on Holi, Diwali, Eid, Gurunanak Jayanti etc.
- Awareness drive and Rally in the nearby areas was organised by JDS students during U.P. State Assembly Elections in 2017
- Slogan writing and Rangoli-making competition was arranged to spread importance of Voting in Elections
- Free health checkup camp was organised at JDS in 2017 for one and all
- Workshop by SEBI conducted in 2017 to make the youth aware of prevailing financial frauds
